Here’s the thing nobody tells you when you’re booking Celebrity Beyond: there’s a whole cabin category sitting between a regular veranda and a full-on suite — and it might be exactly what your trip needs.

It’s called Aqua Class.

Sounds like a spa thing, right? It kind of is. But it’s also exclusive restaurant access, a complimentary thermal spa pass, upgraded toiletries, and a room location that puts you closer to the amenities you’ll actually use. For certain travelers, Aqua Class changes the whole vibe of a Celebrity sailing.

While we have not sailed Celebrity Beyond (we sail her in 2027), we have sailed many of her sister ships. So we feel we know this ship. So let’s get into the real talk: is Aqua Class actually worth the extra money?

Here are 8 things you need to know before you book.

What Is Aqua Class on Celebrity Beyond?

Celebrity Beyond is an Edge-class ship — one of Celebrity’s newest vessels and genuinely one of the most beautiful ships at sea right now. Aqua Class is Celebrity’s unique mid-tier cabin category that you don’t find on most other cruise lines.

It sits above a standard Veranda cabin and below the Suite classes (Sunset Suite, Sky Suite, Celebrity Suite, Penthouse). In terms of square footage, Aqua Class staterooms are similar to regular verandas — roughly 194 sq ft inside with a 41 sq ft balcony. So if you’re looking for more space, that’s not the play here.

What you’re paying for with Aqua Class is access. Access to exclusive restaurants, the spa, a dedicated concierge, and an elevated experience that the rest of the ship simply doesn’t get.

On Celebrity Beyond, Aqua Class cabins are located on Decks 11–13 in a prime mid-ship position. That matters more than you’d think on a ship this size.

You Get Access to Blu —

and It’s Really That Good

Let’s start with the big one. Aqua Class guests have exclusive access to Blu, Celebrity’s intimate restaurant built specifically for them (and Suite guests).

Blu is not your typical main dining room. It’s smaller. The lighting is softer. The menu is spa-inspired — think fresh, lighter fare with thoughtful flavor combinations. And before anyone says “healthier food sounds boring,” let me be clear: it is actually really delicious. It feels like a completely different cruise than the Grand Epérnay main dining room downstairs.

No reservations needed. You just show up. Because the room is smaller and limited to Aqua Class and Suite guests, you’re rarely waiting long. Compare that to the main dining room hustle and you’ll understand why regulars rave about this perk.

Blu is open for breakfast and dinner. After a couple nights in there, going back to the main dining room genuinely feels like a step down. That’s how good it is.

For the woman who loves a beautiful meal in an intimate space — Blu alone might seal the deal on Aqua Class.

The Persian Garden Is Included —

and That’s the Real Flex

Okay, this is where Aqua Class gets serious.

The Persian Garden is Celebrity Beyond’s thermal spa suite — and it is stunning. We’re talking heated lounge chairs with ocean views, aromatic steam rooms, herringbone tile heated loungers, hydrotherapy areas, and tropical rain showers. It’s a whole vibe. The kind of space you’d spend hours in on a sea day without guilt.

For most guests, access to the Persian Garden costs $35–$50 per day or $200–$300+ for the week. For Aqua Class guests, it is complimentary for the entire sailing.

Let’s do the math real quick: if the Aqua Class upgrade costs you $300 per person and the Persian Garden pass would have cost you $250 per person anyway, you’re basically paying $50 for all the other Aqua Class perks. That’s a deal.

If you’re a woman who takes her spa time seriously — and you know who you are — this perk alone can make Aqua Class a no-brainer.

AquaSpa Café Handles Your Mornings

In addition to Blu, Aqua Class guests have access to the AquaSpa Café for breakfast and lunch. It’s a smaller, quieter dining option with a healthier, spa-forward focus.

Think fresh juices, smoothie bowls, grain dishes, avocado toast, lighter fare. It’s not for everyone — if you live for the waffle station at the buffet, you’ll probably still head there. But if you like a calm morning with good food and zero crowds, the AquaSpa Café is lowkey one of the best-kept secrets on the ship.

Sea days especially — having a quiet, exclusive breakfast spot instead of fighting the main buffet is a luxury that’s hard to put a price on once you’ve experienced it.

The Cabin Has Upgraded Details

(It’s the Little Things)

The Aqua Class stateroom won’t wow you with extra square footage — it’s essentially the same footprint as a veranda. But the details are noticeably more elevated.

Aqua Class staterooms on Celebrity Beyond include:

  • Elemis bath products — a major step up from the standard toiletries

  • A personalized pillow menu so you choose your firmness level

  • A daily fruit basket, replenished automatically

  • Enhanced in-room lighting with ambiance options

  • Spa-inspired décor that feels more serene and intentional

  • Priority access to an Aqua Class-dedicated concierge

None of these things are individually massive. But together, they make the room feel more polished and more considered. If you’re someone who notices those details and appreciates them — you will.

Priority Access and a Dedicated Concierge

Aqua Class guests aren’t getting a butler — that’s the suite life. But you are getting a dedicated Aqua Class concierge who handles requests, specialty dining reservations, shore excursion coordination, and more.

You also get priority spa booking, which matters more than it sounds. Popular time slots in the Persian Garden fill up fast — especially on sea days when everyone wants in. Being able to reserve your spot before the general public is a real advantage.

Some sailings also include priority embarkation and enhanced in-room dining options. These perks won’t transform your cruise, but they reduce the friction points that can make a big ship feel stressful.

How Much More Does Aqua Class Actually Cost?

Here’s the number everyone really wants to know.

On Celebrity Beyond, upgrading from a standard veranda to Aqua Class typically runs $200–$600 more per person for a 7-night sailing. That range is wide because it depends heavily on when you book, cabin availability, and any promotions Celebrity is running.

Here’s my honest breakdown:

  • Under $300/person extra: Almost always worth it. The Persian Garden pass alone runs $200+. The math is right there.

  • $300–$500/person extra: Worth it if you’ll use the spa and dine at Blu regularly. Less worth it if you’re beach-and-bars all day and rarely in the room.

  • Over $500/person extra: At that point, compare what the next suite category costs. You might be closer than you think to a Sky Suite — and that’s a whole different level of experience.

The key is to actually check the price gap when you’re booking. Sometimes it’s surprisingly small. Check what a Persian Garden pass would cost you as an add-on — that number is your baseline for the math.

Who Should Book Aqua Class —

and Who Should Skip It

Let’s keep it real. Aqua Class is not for everybody. Here’s how to know which camp you’re in.

Book Aqua Class if you:

  • Love spa access and would buy a thermal spa pass anyway

  • Prefer intimate, elevated dining over a big main dining room

  • Are traveling as a couple or solo and want a premium feel without full suite prices

  • Care about the details — upgraded amenities, pillow menus, the touches that make a room feel special

  • Want concierge-level service without going full suite

  • Are booking Celebrity Beyond specifically and know you’ll take full advantage

Skip Aqua Class if you:

  • Don’t use the spa and aren’t interested in Blu

  • Need more square footage — Aqua Class doesn’t give you a bigger room

  • Are traveling in a group at different cabin levels (you’ll be separated at dinner)

  • The price difference is over $500/person and you won’t realistically use the perks

  • You’re on a short 3–4 night sailing where you’ll barely have time to use any of it

The Verdict: Yes — With Conditions

Aqua Class on Celebrity Beyond is one of the most underrated upgrades in cruising. Not because it’s cheap — it isn’t always cheap. But because what you get genuinely elevates your experience in ways that actually matter.

The combination of Blu restaurant, Persian Garden access, AquaSpa Café, upgraded cabin details, and a dedicated concierge creates a mid-tier experience that feels much closer to the Suite life than the price suggests.

If the price gap is reasonable and you’re someone who values a spa, great food, and those luxurious details — yes, Aqua Class is worth it. Full stop.
